Adalbert Joe, 24, was taken into custody Sept. 12 on two active warrants and charges are pending, said Police Chief Jim Winder.
“We’re very happy to have him in custody,” said Winder. The chief said law enforcement officers from the city and Grand County were on the lookout for Joe for several weeks, as he was developed as a person of interest in the rash of thefts and property crimes early on.
Winder said law enforcement had a difficult time locating Joe because he is homeless and always on the move and out of the area.
