In response to the letter from Richie Cordero (Feb. 20 edition of The Times-Independent), since you write live and let live, or “love is love,” then I want to be the first to say I want to marry my pet dog. Also, I want my pet to have all benefits that us humans get. Since he doesn’t have a job, I want my pet to get unemployment, health care, and all other benefits this government feels the need to give everyone.
You see Richie, I love my pet very much; in some cases I love him more than I love some humans.
How can you write that being gay does not physically change their state of being? I would love to see two men have a child without a women’s egg, or two women have a baby without a man’s sperm.
Also, please prove to me that married people pay more than single people!
Do not tell me I need to “adapt” to your 21st century thinking. Since the beginning of time it has always been man and woman, not woman and her dog, or man and man or man and four women.
When will YOU draw the line? My Bible tells me when.
