The calendar features a cancer survivor for each month, with a photograph of the survivor and a brief story about that person’s experience. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will benefit the cancer infusion center at Moab Regional hospital.
“We want the public to know there are many options for cancer patients. The new way of viewing cancer is that it is a disease to be managed, not a death sentence,” Wucherer told The Times-Independent in 2010. “In each month of the calendar there is a story of courage, optimism, and hope. It is such a positive promotion of the human spirit in the face of a disease seen as one of life’s greatest challenges.”
