There will be a table where children can decorate their kites. Adults will be available to help with kite assembly. The event will include free hot dogs, chips and a drink.
This event is one in a series to support Utah Family Month declared by Gov. Gary Herbert between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
“If you have been wishing you could tell some people to ’go fly a kite,’ but lacked a specific place to direct them, this is the perfect opportunity for you,” said organizer Dick Toll. “They will even have free kites to assemble and fly there.”
