Utah-based country-rock band JagerTown brings its high-energy, innovative style to the Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo on Saturday night, June 1. The five-member group is scheduled to perform at the rodeo after-party at Old Spanish Trail Arena, 3641 S. U.S. 191, beginning at 9 p.m., immediately after the rodeo events conclude.

The three-day rodeo kicks off Thursday, May 30, when doors open at 6 p.m. at the arena.

JagerTown members Preston Creed, Elizabeth Anderson, Jesse Brooks, Demitri Mannos and Danny Boys have described their style of music in this way: “Exploring the country genre while incorporating innovative rock elements, the unique JagerTtown style lies somewhere between Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts – with a little Lynard Skynard-esque guitar dueling in the mix.”

The band’s members were originally a team of studio songwriters, but they quickly formed a bond, based on mutual respect for one another’s talent, that ultimately resulted in forming JagerTown.

The musicians began performing together, writing their own songs, and “[s]hortly after opening for major headliners throughout Utah – and selling thousands of Cds within weeks – Jagertown was born,” according to the band’s biography.

The JagerTown concert is included for rodeo ticket-holders for Saturday’s rodeo events, or concert tickets can be purchased separately for $16 for adults.

Advance rodeo and concert tickets may be purchased online at www.MoabCanyonlandsRodeo.com or at several local businesses, including City Market, 425 S. Main St.; Moab Information Center, 125 E. Center St.; Big Horn Lodge, 550 S. Main St.; and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, 1026 S. Main St.
