Utah Poet Laureate Paisley Rekdal will read and discuss her writings at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the Moab Library on Center Street. Rekdal has published a number of award-winning books and poetry collections.

Also on tap for the week ahead:

The Castle Valley Library will show the movie, “True Stories,” featuring David Byrne of the Talking Heads. The film rolls at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6.

Dec. 6: Moab Charter School’s Winter Music Concert, 6 p.m. at Grand County High auditorium.

Dec. 6: Kombucha Basics: The Science Behind a Good Brew, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Moonflower Community Co-op.

Dec. 8: Gallery Moab Artists Reception, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 87 N. Main, featuring Grand County High artists.
