So rather than utilize this resource and improve the football and soccer fields for free, save the district $30,000 per year, save $750,000 in unnecessary upgrades, and have $200,000 to spend on something more important, the district proposes improvements to the soccer field and the school board approves it? They want a leeway tax for more money and this is how they spend what they already have?
The district could accomplish their goal for free and spend $200,000 on ways to lower costs for students to participate in recreation. But instead, they come up with a plan to spend an additional $550,000. The district couldn’t afford to pay for a new website because they had a bus engine blow up, but they have $750,000 to spend like this?
Parents of Grand County students, if you tolerate this, you get what you deserve. Unbelievable.
