Four area teens won $550 for their artwork. The Friends of the Library donated the money and the library’s art committee judged the artwork.
The library is a member of the Moab Community Action Coalition, which focuses on reducing risk factors that contribute to teens choosing to use drugs and alcohol. As part of that program, the library developed the art competition and other events to “promote positive behavior and recognize the talents that teens are developing,” according to a news release from the library.
