I believe that the single issue of “climate control on behalf of our earth” is worthy of each voter taking a solid look at this most important issue and where candidates stand. There are many other issues worth looking at and hopefully that will come to fruition.
This is a difficult election – incumbents with money, with clout by party affiliation, with a career’s worth of years and many terms in current position – will be opposing these other candidates -– considered third-party – next to Republicans and Democrats.
Amy Goodman and Denis Moynihan from Democracy Now! visited us in Moab on Oct. 8 at Star Hall. They informed our Moab audience of recent debate/presentations that represented all candidates willing to put themselves in the election regardless of whether they had money or clout.
People know that we as Americans need grassroots ideas and thoughtful, visionary leaders willing to make informed decisions in each of our issues.
If we refuse to be proactive and research candidates by exercising our American right to vote privilege, we are foregoing our sacred American choices of life, liberty and our own pursuit of happiness.
I encourage and solicit each and every eligible American to vote in our upcoming election Nov. 6, 2012.
