He was born Dec. 2, 1946, in Dickinson, N.D., to Emil Albert and Mary Caroline Cromwell Schocknmyer.
Eddie shared a great love for fishing and hunting. He enjoyed the beauty of the mountains and the tranquility of the desert in southeastern Utah. His working years were spent mining uranium in Moab and coal in Carbon County.
Eddie was quite the storyteller who could charm the best. He loved a good laugh, especially when he was sharing his mischievous stories of his younger days.
Eddie touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed by all.
