Where’s the wildlife...

I’ve lived in Moab approximately 35 years and have camped out in the La Sals every year and almost every weekend. I camp out in a new part of the mountain each time and hike in each area.
My question is, are the cows and the biting flies that follow cows considered the new wildlife, because the viewing of other wildlife is almost never.
Must be the new Moab and new mountain wildlife. I guess that’s why zoos were created.
