Jennifer Sadoff did a great job of putting the presentation together. Knowledgable staff members explained what their respective departments could do for anyone in need of health care with an emphasis on what they can do for folks who are non-residents and only here temporarily. One of the most helpful bits of information was that if someone is injured but not in need of immediate care, he or she can show up at one of the clinics at the hospital and probably receive care pretty soon without going to the emergency room, which can be very expensive.
We were toured through most sections of the hospital including the emergency room, the imaging lab and even the birthing room, among others. I had lots of questions, as usual, and all were answered satisfactorily.
I work as a mountain bike guide, and it is not unheard of that we guides have to now and then deal with an injured client, although we try to prevent such occurrences. I’ve never had any real doubts about sending a client to MRH, but I now feel a little better about referring folks to our community hospital.
