On Saturday mornings, the park used to be filled with music, flapping white tents, laughing people, samples of goat cheese, palm leaves from bakers, home-harvested honey, massages and energy.
Went to Friday night’s market there were about five tents. On Saturdays the revenue would pay the city its fee and a manager for the market.
There are lots of capable people in town. There are so few opportunities for locals to display and sell the wonderful things these talented people make.
Sometimes it feels to me that the locals are not important enough to really count in the big picture of Moab.
