She moved from Moab to Vernal in 1975 to assist opening and managing the new Sprouse-Reitz variety store with her husband Ken, whom she married Nov. 30, 1975. She spent 10 years managing with Ken until he left to work for Deseret Power. She was exceptional in buying for any department of the store, especially apparel. She enjoyed keeping a spotless home. She had beautiful taste in decorating her home and loved working in the yard. She spent 10 years gathering firewood and always commented on trees that would be great firewood. She was an extremely self-sacrificing woman devoted to those she loved.
Linda was born in Richfield, Utah on Sept. 6, 1944 to Franklin and Thora Dalley. She moved to Provo and at eight years of age moved to Moab and finished growing up there. She spent many youthful summers with her grandmother Josie in Kingston, Utah. They were very cherished times and a great influence in her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her two-day old son, Paul Duane Cathy; her mother, Thora Raymona Nielsen Twitchell; father Franklin Verle Dalley; sisters Lorraine Bahr and Lanise Heffner and Carrie Stevens. She is survived by her brothers Martin (Kathy) and Kyle Twitchell and sister Willie Lue Payne.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 13 in the Vernal 3rd Ward chapel. A viewing for family and friends was held prior to the services. Burial will be in the Rock Point Cemetery in Vernal; Services were entrusted to the care of the Blackburn and Sons Vernal Mortuary.
