The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will hold a meeting of the Utah Resource Advisory Council (RAC), Dec. 11 and 12, at the Hideout Community Center, located at 648 Hideout Way in Monticello. On Dec. 11 the RAC will meet from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a field tour of the Indian Creek area will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Dec. 12, the RAC will meet from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Planned agenda items at the meeting include reviewing priorities on the desk of Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, a Canyon Country District overview, Monticello field office updates, a statewide oil and gas leasing update, the Utah recreation fee program initiative, Manti-La Sal National Forest’s recreation fee proposal and updates on current resource management planning efforts and major projects, and RAC work projects and business.
A half-hour public comment period, during which the public may address the RAC, will take place from 11-11:30 a.m. on Dec. 12. Depending on the number of people wishing to comment and time available, the amount of time for individual comments may be limited.
