Lisa DeRees has withdrawn from the race for Grand County Clerk/Auditor. DeRees said it was a lack of time that shaped her decision to pull out of the race. She filed her paperwork to be removed from the election on Monday. “I made a commitment to my current employer at Moab Springs Ranch and there’s not 50 hours in a day so I would have to train my replacements, plus a super busy schedule, plus run a campaign and it just isn’t the right thing for me to do right now,” DeRees said.

DeRees was set to run against former Grand County Council Member Chris Baird. With DeRees out of the race, Baird will be running unopposed.
