Fourth-grade students at Helen M. Knight Elementary School and Moab Charter School recently received a special classroom visit from National Park Service rangers Heidi Wainer and Jodi Rupp. The rangers presented each student with a free annual parks pass and park service lanyard as part of the Every Kid in a Park initiative. Every Kid in a Park was launched in 2015 and coincided with the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. Through this program, all fourth grade students in the U.S. are eligible to receive a pass that grants free admission to national parks, national monuments and national wildlife refuges for the student and their families for one year.
