Phillip Cary Morse passed away March 23, 2009 in Ogden, Utah.
Phillip was born Jan. 15, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Okla. to Nolan R. and Yvonne Sorensen Morse. He grew up and attended school in Oklahoma City until 1979.
For several years he worked at odd jobs and doing carpentry. In 1985, he attended the University of Central State and Oklahoma State.
He moved to Moab in 1987 and worked at landscaping and attended college part-time. He then moved to Logan, Utah in 1994 to attend Utah State University to study environmental science for four years. Phillip never had a degree but he completed enough credits to have a master’s degree.
For the last several years Phillip has worked as a driver hauling boats and tourists for the river companies. During the Christmas season Phillip also attended to the bell ringers for the Salvation Army in the Ogden area.
He was not a member of any church but was a very spiritual person. He helped a lot of drug addicts and alcoholics reach sobriety.
He is survived by his parents, Nolan and Yvonne; one sister, Susan Baldwin; four brothers, Paul, Michael, Timothy, and Steven, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Redfield.
A graveside service will be held Friday March 27 at Grand Valley Cemetery at 3 p.m.
