Jerry Croasmun, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and local businessman went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 in Moab.
Jerry was the youngest of six children born to Grant and Addie B. Croasmun. He was born on Sept. 22, 1943 in Hot Springs, N.M. and received his education in Hot Springs and Monticello, Utah. He married his bride and love of his life Beulah Dungan on Aug. 31, 1963 in Moab.
Jerry and Beulah lived in New Mexico and Wyoming before moving back to Moab in 1973. Jerry was a hardworking, honest, and respected businessman. He was self-employed and operated several local businesses including GLJ Freight. His life centered around those he loved and held dearly including his family, extended church family, and many friends. He loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of the Moab First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah and children, Jerry L., Larry (Tee), Gary (Diana), Anthony (Lindsay), and Morgi. He is also survived by two brothers, Max (Roberta) Croasmun and Glen Croasmun; two sisters, Lyvon Loden and Ranell (Eddie) Cosper; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane (Clarence) Wagner and Becky Croasmun. He leaves behind these along with nine grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his infant son, Ricky; his parents, Grant and Addie B. Croasmun; brother, R. G. Croasmun; and his father and mother-in-law, Tom Dungan and Martha Dungan Price.
Services will be held at the Moab First Assembly of God Church on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11 a.m., with interment following at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Moab.
Friends and family can pay their respects at a viewing one hour prior to the service at the church and on Thursday, May 14, 2009 between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. at the Kimmerle-Hefner Funeral Home.
