William Albert Wood 64, passed away at his home on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 of heart and lung complications.
Albert was born in Telluride, Colo. on Aug. 31, 1944 to William Arthur and Jewel Elizabeth Wood. He was raised in Moab. Forty-four years ago, Albert married Dena Marie Nelson, also of Moab. He enjoyed many different kinds of worldwide employment, ranging from logging, mining, and drilling, to working on pipelines.
He is survived by his wife, Dena: his two daughters, Judy and Lisa; five qrandchildren, Amanda, Cassie, Tyler, Logan and Bailey; and three great-grandchildren, Makayla, Braxton, and Dylan. He is also survived by his siblings, Sheila, Wanda, Neva, Tom, Betty, Richard, Ann, and Anita; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his only son, Weston Albert; his parents; three sisters; and one brother.
Graveside services were held on Monday, Aug. 17 at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Moab.
