Travis was born Feb. 1, 1967 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to James L. and Pauline Gramlich Marx. He passed away Dec. 2, 2010 in St. George, Utah, due to complications from pneumonia.
He attended Salt Lake City area schools and the University of Utah, graduating from Highland High School.
Most of his career he worked in the insurance business. In September, Travis moved to St. George to work with Danville Services Corporation, supporting individuals with disabilities and behavioral challenges. He loved the career change and all the people he worked with. He was excited to begin a new and very rewarding chapter in his life.
He had many friends and loved people. He liked helping others and was always there for anyone needing help. Travis was a very loving, kind, compassionate person. He was also fun to be with and added joy to the lives of his family and friends. He loved traveling to Moab to visit loved ones. He was like a father to his niece, Savanna Marx, whom he helped and loved dearly.
Travis will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, brother, Justin Marx, nieces, Savanna Marx and Makenzie Blood, a grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, many friends and loving partner Brian Norris.
