Marjorie E. Campbell, 98, of Paradox, Colo. passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at her residence.
Marjorie was born Dec. 2, 1912 at Brady, Texas to Willie B. and Grovy P. (Knowles) Wood. She grew up in Brady.
In 1931, Marjorie married Elmo Mullican. He passed away in 1936. In 1939, Marjorie married William B. Campbell. He passed away in 1974. Prior to moving to Paradox, Colo., Marjorie lived in Texas and Moab, Utah.
She loved fishing, gardening, bird watching and her dogs. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.
Her survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Judie Campbell of Cedar City, Utah; daughters and sons-in-law, Berma Dean and Larry Filener of Grand Junction, Colo., LaDell and George Kinsey of Price, Utah, and Carol Chiles of Bedrock, Colo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Jay and Marie Wood of Durango, Colo.; 12 grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nine step-great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and 18 step-great-great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Elmer and Arthur Wood, and one sister, Verna Moss, preceded her in death.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 12, at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colo. Memorial contributions may be made to Paradox Ambulance Fund, c/o Paradox, Colo.
