Frances Louise Davis passed away March 17, 2011 in Moab, Utah. She was born Aug. 29, 1932 in Wachapreague, Va. to Miles B. and Sallie Ann Thornton.
She met and married Alvin Erwin Nash II. Alvin was in the Navy and was stationed nearby at Assateague, Va. They later moved to Grand Junction, Colo. and various other places. They moved to La Sal, Utah in 1955, where they lived until 1969. Frances and Alvin had three boys and one girl. They divorced.
Frances married James T. Lanphere. Their marriage ended in divorce.
Frances moved back to Moab, where she met and married Hub Davis on Dec. 29, 1979. Hub and Fran had many wonderful years together and shared many wonderful adventures. Frances was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Frances is survived by her husband, Hub Davis of Moab; her three sons, Alvin E. Nash III of Moab, Terry E. Nash of Moab, and James E. Nash of Moab; one daughter, Madeline Yvonne Nash Talbot Adams (Larry) of West Jordan, Utah; step-children, Steven (Michelle) Davis of Albuquerque, N.M., Shelly Janocavich of Moab, Jeffrey (Lauren) Davis of Moab, James (Tracy) Davis of Moab, Marilyn Shanon of Moab, and Marie (Chip) Brox of Moab.
