Tamara Tanner Barney was born Sept. 23, 1953 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Glen L. and Joyce M. Tanner. She died May 8, 2012 in Moab.
Tamara graduated from Spanish Fork High School and went on to nursing school to become a registered nurse.
Tam married Gene Snow. They were later divorced. Tam and Gene had a daughter, Gina. Tam later married Craig Barney. To Craig and Tam two children were born – a daughter Meghann and a son, Jed. Tam worked in nursing for many years and loved her work.
Tam is survived by her mother, Joyce Maland Tanner; her sister, Joylyn Johnson and partner Karl Tangren; her husband, Craig; and children, Gina and husband Jason Sorensen, Meghann and Jed. Tam has three lovely grandchildren, McKinleigh, Adrienne and Malin.
Tam’s father, Glen L. Tanner is deceased.
A memorial is planned at an open-house to honor Tamara at the home of Joyce M. Tanner, 631 North 100 East, in Spanish Fork on June 2, 2012.
