Local businesswoman achieves national real estate designations

Rachel Moody, broker and owner of the Real Estate Company of Moab, has been awarded the Accredited Buyer’s Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of Realtors. Moody has also received Seller Representative Specialist designation by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, the premier seller agency designation in the country, according to a news release.

To achieve the designations, realtors are required to successfully complete comprehensive courses in buyer and seller representation, pass a comprehensive exam, and subscribe to the realtor code of ethics.

“REBAC, founded in 1988, is the world’s largest association of real estate professionals focusing specifically on representing the real estate buyer,” the news release stated. “An extensive resume of professional experience is required, and coursework includes focus on buyer representation specialty. There are more than 40,000 active members of REBAC worldwide.”

Moody has been a member of the Moab area real estate community since 2003. She opened the doors of her own brokerage, Real Estate Company of Moab, in the spring of 2008 after obtaining her broker’s license in October 2007. In the years since, the company’s employees have been active in the Moab community through volunteerism, nonprofit sponsorship, and The Rachel Moody Team Scholarship for Business at Utah State University–Moab.
