Moab Music Festival, library joins for musical story hour
Sand Sheff starts off the season of music, stories and fun

The Moab Music Festival and Grand County Public Library are joining forces to present a musical story hour this year. The library’s weekly story hour will expand four times throughout the year to feature musical-themed story books with live instrumental accompaniment provided by the festival and local musicians.

The program is meant to introduce young children, with their parents, to a wide variety of musical instruments, sounds, and genres. All events will take place at the library, located at 257 East Center St. Each event will include story time, live musical demonstrations, musical crafts, and, when possible, a musical petting zoo.

The 2018 dates are Saturday, Jan. 20, Saturday, April 14, Saturday, July 14 and Saturday, Oct. 13. All events start at 10:30 a.m. and are free to attend. The first artist to play during the Jan. 20 show will be Sand Sheff.
