Making a point

Editor,

These items appeared in the news a while back, but I feel compelled to comment anyway.

Apparently, Stormy Daniels was paid to not make false allegations about an affair she didn’t have with Donald Trump…$130,000…Not bad. That means that I could threaten to make an allegation, false of course, that Trump and I had a homosexual relationship not long ago, and then all I would have to do is deposit the check. Easy money. Does Trump actually think people believe that lame excuse for paying off a porn star? I have trouble calling him president.

Trump suggested that the death penalty should be on the table for drug dealers. That sounds good to me as long as those selling tobacco, alcohol, fentanyl and other opioids (legal drugs) are included. They cause more devastation and heartache than heroine, cocaine, meth, marijuana, etc. combined.

Please don’t think that I’m dumb enough to think the first four drugs will ever be banned. I’m just trying to make a point about legal drugs. Read the police reports in this paper. Most of the reported incidents involve alcohol, and it’s quite legal.
