The Youth Garden Project (YGP) is offering a nine-week summer camp for children entering the 1st through 6th grades starting on Monday, June 4. The camps will offer a unique, outdoors-based theme every week and run Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
During three of the weeks of camp offered, the YGP will partner with the Canyonlands Field Institute (CFI) to offer wilderness survival and water-themed programs. The camp will also offer programs based on recycling, gardening, art, and more. Campers will have the opportunity to learn about the themes, play at Rotary Park, and participate in team-building activities. The registration fee of $130 per child per week will cover staffing and materials for snacks and other activities.
The YGP will also offer an off-site Expedition Day Camp for children entering grades 4-6 during three weeks of the summer.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are still spots left. Registration forms can be found at the YGP office and online at http://www.youthgardenproject.org/youthcamps/. For more information, contact the Youth Programs Director at [email protected] or call 435-259-BEAN.
