Mayor, chief, council get 3% pay hike

The Moab mayor and city council will enjoy a small pay bump.

Following the approval of a three percent cost of living adjustment for all city employees, the council held a public hearing for whether to similarly adjust the salaries of elected officials and those exempt from using the regular pay schedule, including the city manager and the police chief.

There was no public comment at the hearing Tuesday, June 26, and the council unanimously passed a resolution increasing the pay for exempt and elected officials by three percent.
