Terry Morse may now be referred to as Council Member Morse after his Oct. 2 appointment to the Grand County Council as the representative for District 1. At their regular Tuesday meeting, the council briefly interviewed and then accepted Morse onto the council.
“Are you willing to do this job?” asked Council Chair Mary McGann. “After careful consideration, sure, I am,” replied Morse.
Vice Chair Curtis Wells chimed in to explain the council’s decision to appoint Morse.
“Since Terry Morse is running unopposed for this council district, we thought it, albeit unconventional, a good opportunity for him to get up to speed and help the council. It would be good to appoint him now as opposed to wait until early January,” said Wells.
