Strings students from Grand County middle and high schools performed in the Sounds of the Grand Orchestra on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Grand County High School auditorium. Jazzy numbers like “Blue Tango” and “The Pink Panther” were performed, as was a classical piece composed by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Carolyn Stiles, director of the schools’ strings programs, said, “I’m really grateful to work with your kids, these kids up here on the stage. They’ve done wonders. We’ve had a lot of obstacles in our way this trimester, a lot of things going on, but I think they’ve done well and they’re going to pull off a really good program for you tonight.”
