W.K. Stratton, the author of a book on The Wild Bunch movie, will be in Moab April 3 for a movie screening and book signing. The events will be held in partnership with Utah Humanities, Utah Film Center, Grand County Public Library, and Back of Beyond Books.

Sam Peckinpah’s film The Wild Bunch (named one of the greatest films of all time by the American Film Institute and is celebrating its 50th anniversary) is the story of a gang of outlaws who are one big steal from retirement. In the book, Stratton tells the history of the making of the movie and documents for the first time the extraordinary contribution of Mexican and Mexican-American actors and crew members to the movie’s success.

The film screening will be held at Star Hall, 159 E Center, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 3.
