Earth Day event to clean up Needles Outpost

In recognition of Earth Day, The Nature Conservancy is supporting a volunteer workday at the Needles Outpost. The search is on for volunteers who love the outdoors.

The event will be held Saturday, April 27 from 1-5 p.m. at the Needles Outpost. Volunteers will clean up areas, remove litter and recycle trash left by past managers and users. “This is your chance to give back to the Indian Creek area and make a difference to the environment,” said a statement from TNC. Volunteers will be allowed to camp for free at the Needles Outpost as well as be treated to a BBQ dinner. The event and will start at 1 p.m. and last until about 5 p.m.
