Moab is like a Japanese subway car

Editor,

I was at the open house Thursday. Lots of folks commented on the problems associated with growth of the tourism in the community. Some were for curtailing the growth, and others said bring it on.

I kept flashing on images I’ve seen of Japanese subways where men are hired, wearing white gloves, to cram as many people as possible into the subway cars before the doors can close. A subway ride like that might be interesting, once, but isn’t my idea of an ongoing enjoyable experience.

Moab is feeling like one of those subway cars already, and it isn’t a few minutes ride work. It’s getting to be most of the year. Do we have to keep hyping this place to the point where we can barely move?
