Housing projects slated for public hearings April 16, 23

County Planning Commission may amend HDH Overlay ordinance

The public is invited to attend upcoming public hearings on new housing developments in Grand County.

The county council will hold a public hearing at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, inside council chambers at the courthouse. Public comment is sought on a proposed 33-lot planned unit development located at 3318 S. Willow Tree Road, just north of Southgate Village and east of KOA campground.

Then April 23 at 5 p.m., the Grand County Planning Commission at 5 p.m. will

hold a public hearing at the Grand Center to discuss proposed amendments to the High Density Housing Overlay ordinance in an effort to clarify standards and procedures for development approvals and to correct an omission of parcels in the overlay and make other changes.

The commission will hold a second public hearing at the same time and location to solicit public input on a proposed 40-lot high-density subdivision located at 3058 and 3060 Spanish Valley Drive.
