Red Devil Lady golfers take second at Millsite

Girls continue to shave strokes

The Grand County girl’s golf team took second place at a tournament Emery High hosted on April 3, at Millsite Golf Course in Ferron.

Joopy Bamrungmuang shot 82, her best score of the season thus far. She took third in the tournament and moved up a notch on the Region XV top 12 to the sixth spot with a stroke average of 91.

Shaycee Renn is a sophomore, but she has been swinging the clubs with the confidence and authority of a more seasoned player. In the first four tournaments, Renn consistently landed in 11th or 12th place. She finally cracked the top 10 and took eighth at Millsite with an 89, and she climbed to 10th on the Region XV top 12 with a swing average of 100.80.

Jamie Day shot 97 at Millsite and took 11th place in the tournament. Day also upped her position on the Region XV top 12 to the eighth spot with a 99.80 swing average.

The Lady Red Devils gold team was scheduled to attend a tournament hosted by North Sanpete on Wednesday, April 10, at the Skyline Mountain Resort Golf Course in Fairview.
