Resiliency Hub May ‘Tea & a Topic’ features Solid Waste District, recycle center

The Resiliency Hub’s board of directors invites the community to its May Tea & a Topic event: Envisioning the Future of Moab’s Waste Stream. This event is co-sponsored by the Solid Waste District and hosted at the Community Recycle Center.

“We hope to include as many relevant community partners as possible! We welcome your ideas, updates on ongoing and future projects, and desire for collaboration,” said board member Stephanie Homborsky in an email.

“Join Resiliency Hub, the Solid Waste Special Service District #1, and numerous other community partners as we brainstorm, strategize, and rethink our landfill, recycling, and composting systems,” said Homborsky. “How can we avoid food waste, reduce consumption, and reuse materials more often in more innovative ways? Help us create a bold, unique vision for the Community Recycling Center and a zero waste community.”

The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 30 at the Community Recycle Center, 1000 E. Sand Flats Road.
