Grand County’s High-Density Housing Overlay has won an award called Your Utah Your Future, according to Zacharia Levine, the county’s director of Community and Economic Development.

According to a letter to Levine from Envision Utah, a nonprofit focused on sustainable growth that emphasizes quality of life issues, Grand County won the group’s Thriving Rural Utah Award, which “is given to people and projects that help rural Utah thrive and maintain its heritage as Utah’s population grows.”

The ceremony is scheduled for May 23 at the Governor’s Mansion in Salt Lake City.
