GCHS grad selected for USD’s Mortar Board

University of San Diego student Kayla Weston of Moab was selected for Mortar Board, a national honor society recognizing students for outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.

Mortar Board, founded in 1918, has 231 chapters across the country and was chartered on the USD campus in the fall of 2000. After students are selected, they continue to serve the university and community through service projects, faculty-student interaction, and leadership opportunities.

Weston is majoring in political science with a minor in biomedical ethics and expects to graduate in 2020.

After graduation, Weston plans to pursue a career in law.
