The Moab Mosquito Abatement District will attempt to fog this week, likely Friday, but manager Libby Nance said there were no guarantees the fogging machine won’t break down again. Nance said the spray is labeled safe fore neighborhoods and that there is no danger from the “minute amounts of active ingredient we are applying.”

The July 4 edition of The Times-Independent will include major updates on the mosquito problem – including Grand County approving Clerk-Auditor Chris Baird’s decision to make an emergency purchase of larvicide and an airplane and pilot to apply it to the wetlands.
