According to a report from the Moab City Police, officers responded to a local restaurant Sunday afternoon, June 30, after a man left without paying his $30 drink tab.
Police soon located the man based on the photo in his passport, which he left at the restaurant. He advised police that he had “more money than anyone” and would be able to pay his tab if taken back to the restaurant.
An officer reported that he did take him back to the restaurant, where the man tried and failed to pay his tab with “two or three different cards,” according to police. Officers arrested him for theft and intoxication.
