The Utah Highway Patrol reported Saturday that three people died, and one person was critically injured, in a head-on collision on Highway 191 in San Juan County, roughly between Moab and Monticello. The accident occurred Saturday, Aug. 3.
The victims were 75-year-old Kenneth Harding from Goodman, Arizona; 73-year-old Frances Harding, also from Goodman; 68-year-old Patricia Storm, from Minot, North Dakota; and an unidentified passenger, who was flown to St. Mary’s hospital in Grand Junction in critical condition.
The collision occurred at mile marker 93, which is 23 miles north of Monticello. Highway Patrol troopers said that the Hardings were driving northbound in a Ford Expedition, towing an 18-foot boat, when the driver, Kenneth, veered into the northbound lane in which Storm was traveling.
The crash remains under investigation.
