A valley-wide electricity outage impacted residents from Spanish Valley to Green River for roughly two hours Wednesday evening, according to Rocky Mountain Power, the area’s sole power provider.

According to the company’s website, outages impacted 5,449 customers across Utah at 10:30 p.m., including some in southeast Utah and Salt Lake City and 4,253 in the Moab valley. A damaged power line caused the Moab outage.

Power went out in Moab at roughly 8:45 p.m. and, momentarily flickered on a few times after that, then returned at 10:45 p.m.

As of 11:00 p.m., 716 customers in Spanish Valley were still without power, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

Service returned valley-wide by 11:15 p.m.
