Isabelle and Griffin Oldroyd opened a lemonade stand over the weekend to raise funds for their classmates at HMK Elementary who cannot afford a hot lunch.
“This was the first time we ever had a lemonade stand,” said Isabelle. “We talked with our grandparents to figure out what we wanted to donate the money to and decided on giving it to kids at HMK who can’t afford lunch. We told our customers we were raising money for a good cause and people were making donations or didn’t want their change.”
The siblings earned nearly $41. HMK thanked the children and their family for the “generous donation.”
