Gridders lose to San Juan in 0-21 game Sept. 27

The San Juan Broncos defeated Grand County 21-0 Friday, Sept. 27 in Blanding.

According to Max Preps, the Broncos outplayed the Red Devils in every aspect, running 71 offensive places compared to 58 for Grand County; and picking up 23 first downs while the Red Devils gained a lethargic 6.

The Broncos scored touchdowns in the second, third and fourth quarters.

The team went for 126 yards in the air and only 29 on the ground.

The two Braydens – Cloud and Troutt – had big nights on defense, finishing with 12 and 13 tackles apiece. Morgan Alvey led the team with 14 tackles. Alvey, Troutt and Clynn Backus each recovered a fumble.
