Two-dozen female veterans and their guides and counselors make their way down the Colorado River. Warriors on Cataract Canyon, a nonprofit group that works with wounded warriors, took the women warriors – 21 Americans and three Britons – on a four-day whitewater trip through Cataract Canyon.

It was the group’s 32nd such trip of the year and one of the best to date, according to members. The trip was not without its challenges as some participants went overboard in the big rapids. The group also went ziplining and spent a half-day touring Arches National Park.
