The Moab Folk Festival gets underway Nov. 1 and concludes Nov. 3. A dozen folk, Americana and roots musicians will perform at various venues. Beer, wine, food and arts vendors will be at the Center Street ball field venue. For more information visit moabfolkfestival.com or call 435-259-3198.

Nov. 1, Friday: Artist opening featuring Gail L. Denton and Diann Laing, “Facing West: Red Rock Everywhere,” at the Big Horn Gallery at Dead Horse State Park Visitors Center. The exhibit has been described as “vibrant plein air landscapes, rendered in oil.” The show runs through Dec. 31.
Nov. 2, Sunday: Moab Trail Marathon, half marathon and Adventure 5k
Nov. 7, Thursday: Antonio Savarese, Community Artist in the Parks, 6 p.m. at the Moab Information Center, Center and Main.
Nov. 7: Moab Showdown. Help the Moab to Monument Valley Film Commission celebrate its 70th anniversary by participating in the 49-hour film competition.
