Judy Collins hit the high notes during the annual Moab Folk Festival. “If you remember the ’60s, you weren’t there,” she told the audience.

Collins earned a laugh from the crowd with that one-liner and others Saturday, day two of the 17th Annual Moab Folk Festival. Her voice remains true at 80 and she had the crowd eating out of her hands.

The Grammy-winning artist was just one of a dozen acts to perform over the three days that festival Assistant Director Cassie Paup said was one of the most well attended.

A huge crowd of fans enjoys a performance by folk icon Judy Collins during her Saturday performance as part of the 17th Annual Moab Folk Festival. Cassie Paul, assistant director of the folk festival, said she and Director Melissa Schmaedick were proud to host Collins, along with a lineup that she said many believe was the best ever. “The Moab City ballpark saw one of its largest crowds ever, consisting of many locals and visitors to our community,” said Paup. “Collins’ performance held the audience spellbound and you could have heard a pin drop during her set.”
