Reading about the upheaval for a parking garage reminds me of the argument over a truck bypass. Twenty-five or 30 years ago, there was a movement to build a bypass on the west side of Moab.
The business owners along Main Street stopped that one, too. Look at Main Street today and we can only think about how nice a bypass would be.
When making a decision, I urge the Moab City and Grand County councils to think ahead. Do what is best for Moab and consider the changes we are bound to experience in the future. We may only have one chance to solve the parking issue.
