I am writing as a retired hospital administrator, former public health student, and 20-year Moab resident. I would like to thank Dr. Dylan Cole, DO, chief medical officer at Moab Regional Hospital; Bradon Bradford and Orion Rogers of the Southeast Utah Health Department; Grand County Council Administrator Chris Baird and Grand County Council Chair Mary McGann for courageously addressing the COVID-19 crisis.
I appreciate their advocacy of reason, science and caution during this stressful period.
Also, we should all acknowledge the selfless efforts of the local hospital staff, supermarket employees and garbage collectors who are continuing to serve the community at substantial risk to themselves.
